The Vancouver Whitecaps FC wrapped up an outstanding regular season, finishing 2nd in the Western Conference with a record of 18 wins, 9 draws, and 7 losses. Their consistency, attacking flair, and solid defense made them one of the most exciting teams to watch in 2024.
In the opening round of the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs, the Whitecaps faced FC Dallas in a best-of-three series. After winning Game 1 at home on Sunday, October 26 (4:30 PM PST) at BC Place, Vancouver went on to defeat FC Dallas in Game 2 on the road on Saturday, November 1 (6:30 PM PST), sweeping the series 2–0 and advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals.
In the semifinals, the Whitecaps took on Los Angeles FC, led by international superstar Heung-Min Son. In a dramatic and unforgettable showdown at BC Place on November 22 at 6:30 PM (PST), the match went the distance, ultimately being decided in a nail-biting penalty shootout. With ice-cold composure, the Whitecaps came out on top, thrilling the home crowd and punching their ticket to the Western Conference Final.
Led by captain Thomas Müller, the team’s chemistry and relentless drive continue to inspire fans across the city. BC Place erupted as Vancouver secured one of the most dramatic wins in club history.
