Vancouver Canucks – Season Review & New Signing
The Vancouver Canucks concluded the 2024-25 regular season with a record of 38-30-14, earning 90 points and finishing 5th in the Pacific Division.
Despite a solid campaign, the Canucks did not qualify for the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, falling just short of a postseason berth.
In the previous 2023-24 season, Vancouver captured the Pacific Division title and advanced past the first round of the playoffs before being eliminated in the second round.
To strengthen their lineup ahead of the upcoming season, the Canucks made a significant move by acquiring veteran left winger Evander Kane from the Edmonton Oilers in June 2025 in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round draft pick. Kane, a Vancouver native, brings proven goal-scoring ability, physical play, and veteran leadership to the roster.
With a strong core and renewed determination, the Canucks enter the next season aiming to return to playoff contention, focusing on improved consistency, depth scoring, and defensive stability.
